Reverend Jesse L. Jackson, Sr. Announces Attorney Tricia “CK” Hoffler as Chair of the Board of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition
CHICAGO, Illinois - November 6, 2019 - The Reverend Jesse L. Jackson, Sr., president and chief executive officer of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, announced on October 29, 2019 that Attorney Tricia “CK” Hoffler has been elected chairwoman of the organization’s board of directors.
“This is an important time in the history of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition. Attorney CK Hoffler has served as counsel to me, my family, Rainbow PUSH, and all of our related entities for over 31 years," said Rev. Jackson."
Her dedication to the civil and human rights movement, and her commitment to Rainbow PUSH and our other organizations has been nothing short of extraordinary and exemplary. She first began working with us a new lawyer when her firm was focused on international work and legislative matters in Washington, DC. She is multi-lingual, has traveled to various foreign countries with us, and has played an important role in fostering strategic dialogues with heads of state and other global leaders.”
Hoffler is currently President-elect of the National Bar Association, chairing the election protection effort for that organization, which is currently headed by Attorney Alfreda Robinson. Through this work, she has forged a critical partnership between the voting rights teams of Rainbow PUSH and the National Bar Association. Hoffler’s legal acumen as a dynamic and effective trial lawyer has been perfected over her extensive legal career; including the time she served as partner to the nationally renowned lawyer, Mr. Willie Gary.
“C.K. Hoffler is the perfect choice to serve as chair of our board. We are delighted that she has accepted the call to serve as Chairwoman at this critical time in our history,” said Rev. Jackson.
